How to Pick the Right Bounce House for Your Party

2026-07-20 AG Party Jumper

There are really only three questions worth asking before you book, and none of them is about colour. How old are the kids, how many are coming, and what will the weather be doing?

Age does most of the work. A plain bounce house suits a party where most of the children are under about six — they will happily bounce for an hour and the open floor means an adult can see everyone at once. Once you have a spread of ages, a combo unit with a slide holds attention far longer, because the older ones get a circuit to run rather than a room to jump in.

Then there is the month. From roughly June to September the Central Valley is hot enough that a dry unit in full sun stops being fun quickly, and a water slide is the better booking. Outside those months a dry jumper is the safer choice — nobody enjoys a wet slide in March.

Numbers matter less than people expect, because the tables and chairs come with the rental either way — 2 tables and 16 chairs with a jumper or slide, 4 tables and 32 chairs with the 20×20 tent package, 6 and 48 with the 20×30. Call (209) 589-5225 with your date and we'll tell you what's free.
